Happy Southern Decadence, y’all! 🌈

My friend Orion took me on a little Gay History tour in the French Quarter from Joanie on the Pony, to the Golden Lantern, to Lafitte’s in Exile, and I learned SO much. And this is just scratching the surface!

New Orleans has a long, fascinating LGBTQ+ history, and there’s no better weekend to celebrate it. If you want to learn even more, stop by the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana’s Q***r History Exhibit at 311 Burgundy Street.

What a surreal day at Fleurty Girl! 💚

We welcomed 22 entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the Middle East and North Africa to our headquarters through the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program!

They came from places like Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Yemen and more. I got to show them behind the scenes, talk about how we do things at Fleurty Girl, and share the story of how this little business started 17 years ago.

To think that a business I started at my kitchen table during one of the hardest times in my life would someday bring people from all over the WORLD through our doors to hear OUR story!🥹

I’ll never get over where Fleurty Girl has taken me. What an absolute honor. What a week! 💚

We met up with Krewe of Dolly themselves to celebrate this one because Y’ALL: WE HAVE HIT FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! 🤯

At about $155 per child, that means what you’ve raised provides 322 children in Orleans Parish with a book delivered to their home every single month from birth to age five! 🥹

And thank goodness the Krewe of Dolly had a few Kennies and Wi***es on hand because $50,000 had me a little weak! 😂
