What is it with southern girls and dip mixes?! 😂 We always have to have a few on hand!

And y’all, we’ve got some GOOD new ones for summer: Crazy Crab Dip, Bacon Ranch, Spinach Artichoke, Mexican Street Corn and King Cake Dessert Dip!

Just add a few ingredients, pop it in the fridge, and you’ve got an easy crowd-pleaser ready to go. Perfect for backyard get-togethers, beach weekends, lake days, or just because.

Serve it up nice and cold and wash it down with a big glass of sweet iced tea. Now that’s a Southern hot girl summer! 💚

At this point, we’re starting to think squishies might be Lauren’s midlife crisis. And honestly? There are worse things a 45-year-old could be obsessed with.

LOOK HOW HAPPY SHE IS. 😂

If stocking stores with an unreasonable amount of squishies brings her this much joy, who are we to stand in the way?

Do your thing, Squishy Queen. 🙄👑💚

GLUTEN-FREE DOT CAKES! 🍰✨

If you’ve been following the viral dot cake craze, then you know my Celiac husband, Ryan, has been making lots of them at Haydel’s Bakery. The problem? Ryan is gluten-free, so he couldn’t even have one himself!

Then I discovered Heather at Heavenly Hands Bakery in Metairie. 💚

Heather is celiac and started baking gluten-free treats out of her house. What started as a passion project grew into her very own bakery! Now, she’s mastered the viral gluten-free dot cake!

Needless to say, Ryan was pretty excited to finally see what all the hype was about. 😂

If you’re gluten-free and feeling left out of the dot cake trend, your moment has arrived!

📍 Heavenly Hands Bakery / 3117 18th St. / Metairie
📅 Open Wednesday-Friday 10am-4:30pm

“Why do you always wear an apron?”

Simple.

Pockets… and pervs. 🤣

The pockets hold my phone, keys, and random retail necessities.

The apron keeps the comment section focused on the merchandise instead of my merchandise. 😜💚

We checked our Top 5 best sellers in Mandeville and… 😂

A Fleur de Lis towel.
A tiny middle finger.
BOD candy. 🍆
Haydel’s taffy.
And pralines.

The funniest part?

It’s basically the exact same Top 5 in every Fleurty Girl store. 🤣

So apparently, no matter where you live, y’all all want to decorate your kitchen, eat sweets, and tell someone off. 💚🖕😂

Tiffany came all the way from Mobile, Alabama with a mission. 😆

She walked into Fleurty Girl during her “divorce era” (she says) and custom-made this sign to say exactly what she wanted it to say.

Just a little FA&FO. 💅

And then she asked us to put it all over our socials. 🤣

Ma’am, we’re here to serve. 🫡💚 Here’s to fresh starts, new chapters, and saying exactly what you mean. 🫶

Happy 17th Birthday, Fleurty Girl! 💚✨

Seventeen years ago today, I went on my lunch break, walked into the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office, and registered Fleurty Girl as an LLC and started this company.

I had no business plan, no investors, and certainly no idea what the future would hold. What I did have was a dream, a whole lot of determination, and the willingness to take a chance on myself.

Never in a million years could I have imagined that it would grow into nine stores, an incredible team, a community of customers who feel like family, and a life I truly love.

There were plenty of moments when it would have been easier to quit. There were risks, setbacks, sleepless nights, hurricanes, pandemics, construction zones, and more than a few tears along the way. But there were also victories, friendships, laughter, and memories I’ll cherish forever.

If there’s one thing these 17 years have taught me: it’s that you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. I sure didn’t! Sometimes, you just have to be brave enough to take the first step and trust yourself with the rest.

To everyone who has shopped with us, commented on our posts, cheered us on, worked alongside me, believed in an idea, or simply told a friend about Fleurty Girl: thank you. YOU helped build this. Every milestone belongs to all of us. 💚

Today, I’m feeling incredibly grateful, humbled, and proud of that younger version of myself who decided to stop waiting and just go for it.

And if you’re sitting on a dream of your own, consider this your sign: take the chance. You never know where one brave decision might lead. 💚🎈🥹🎉

Today, I’m taking you to one of my favorite places in Old Metairie: Second Act Consignment! Celebrating 54 years in business today! 💕 If you know me, you know I love a good treasure hunt, and I cannot tell you how many special pieces I’ve found here over the years.

The best part? The ladies behind it. That’s Pam in the pink, and she opened Second Act in 1972. Think about that for a second! Fifty-four years of showing up, serving customers, adapting, evolving, and building something that has become such a beloved part of our community. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident. It takes grit, passion, resilience, and a whole lot of heart!

I’m so grateful to know Pam and these wonderful women, and I’m incredibly inspired by what they’ve built. As a small business owner myself, I can only hope Fleurty Girl is lucky enough to celebrate 54 years one day.

If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s one of those places that feels special the moment you walk through the door.

Congratulations, Pam, on 54 amazing years! What an incredible legacy! ❤️🎉🥂
