I made this beauty custom for a someone who works in movie industry and needed a radio hip bag with swag. A year later she decided she wanted another pocket added and the option to wear just one bag as a crossbody bag. So I traded the rivets for snaps, made her a new belt, & fine tuned another piece of multi wear gold. I loved holding a lived in piece of mine and giving her even more life! I’m working on streamlining a design similar to this to sell. That radio pocket was specific though, what do you guys dream of having in yours? Like really I want to know the nerdy or niche things you carry around so I can dream up shapes to hold them :)

It’s here! The first of many one-of-a-kind holster bags I’ll make. And it’ll be available on the fanumfaunaleather.com website along with some other hot ready-to-ship items on Juneteenth at 4 o clock Central! …. Unless one of you grabs it before then.

I like getting lost in my studio with these one of a kind designs. I save special pieces of hide for months and sometimes years before they find their forever unit. It’s really about letting each piece shine the best it can. I will redraw the pattern to make something fit a perfect edge that was naturally derived in a second. I’ll let the leather express what it wants before I carve something out. I’m never solid on an idea with these projects. The leather breathes and shrinks and expands and I follow… so fun!

This design has swirled in my mind since I started Fanum Fauna but I wanted to make something that felt true to my life and style and honestly I had a lot to learn to get here. I’m proud of what came out & I can’t wait to hear what you guys want on yours. There are so many functions to be explored! I could create 100s of looks & functions to use with just this grommet layout! Obviously, carabiner or jewelry would be fun. But also lacing it up closes it in the front and it actually covered my bits, so shirt?! Yes! Anyway, maybe I’ll do a shoot exploring ways to doll this one up because my mind is 🏃🏽‍♀️✨
