The Batfrog was created by artist, musician Scott Helland of the internationally touring New York

based folk punk cabaret duo Frenchy and the Punk. The inspiration came from his interest in frogs as a kid and FnP’s singer Samantha Stephenson’s love of bats. He put them together and the Batfrog became the duo’s logo and Scott’s primary focus in his drawings. The logo has blanketed t-shirts and band merch since 2010 and was the main design for the cover of the group's 2014 CD, Bonjour Batfrog, and highlighted in Helland’s art book ‘Feast’ released in 2015.
