Want to host the next Genkai Grapple Club event? //

We are looking forward to continuing the momentum we have started with the Genkai Grapple Club! Volume One & Volume Two have both been an amazing start to the work we’re doing with the Genkai Grapple Club.

We will be looking for spaces and gyms that’d be interested in hosting one of our grappling events, sponsors that would like to keep building with us, improvements we can make to the events, and of course when the time comes, athletes will always find us on Smoothcomp when it’s time to take the stage!

KNOW YOUR RULES //

Swipe through for important information regarding match procedures, legal techniques, and event guidelines.

Matches are submission only during the allotted match time given based on your age. If athletes are unable to score a submission in that allotted time frame, they will be granted 1 minute of overtime where the ruleset changes to a point based system. You will then have one full minute to score your points. If no athletes score points during that minute then the winner is determined by judges decision.

Referees will make a judges decision based on the overall performance of the athlete throughout their entire match. So they will take into consideration your submission attempts, your positional dominance, etc to determine a winner, should a match come down to judges decision.

For adults we have made the submission guidelines more lenient for all belt levels allowing for more options for submissions during your match.

These rules will be restated at the event. Let’s keep it a clean and fun event while bringing all the hype.
