Just some of the results from the first Natural Dye Revive service with .ellis of Customers could choose to do a tie dye style or full coverage. Here are examples of both!

~The salmon sweatshirt had those pesky oil spots that just don’t go away though no one would know it now. We think the way the yellow turned more brown combined with the salmon color is a lovely combo

~The customer with the white shirt wanted to give the shirt a new life and it certainly has one now and it isn’t as office wear, more like a proclamation of earth love

~ The polka dot shirt that now has a more grounded olive colored vibe started out as an icy pastel light sea-foam which wasn’t the vibe for the wearer. We love it now though

Stay tuned for the next color that Falling Off trees offers up for Summer!

Ok! We have finally understood the assignment. Our location at 763 Purchase Street has been transformed into our fully dedicated tailor shop. We’ve set things up so we have more room for fittings (we can now see all the brides and poofy dresses as well as every day wear). You’ll see and working out of the space Tuesday-Saturday. We can both fit, price and stitch out of here now and it feels great. All of your garments and projects are kept in this space so no more going back and forth between here and 106 William Street. In addition to our services, you can shop our supply of sewing notions, trims, and fat quarters of fabrics. If you’re looking for zippers, elastic, snaps, buttons etc we may just have what you’re looking for. It’s not a full selection so give us a call and we can check for you or come by and peruse. This is all in addition to what we have going on in our beautiful haberdashery case:

📍High quality and thoughtfully made sewing tools and notions by from Japan, and from England, from CA and
📍Earth friendly clothing care by
📍Visible mending tools like natural dye kits by , sustainably sourced wool needle felting kits by both Canadian companies, speed weave style mini looms for darning and assorted patches, vintage ones and ones made by local friends, .g.alder and far off friends
📍Plastic free self care products like deodorant and hand balm by , Palestinian Olive Oil soap (also great for textile stain removal), bar shampoo and conditioner by .care , toothpaste tablets by and body buffers made from “jungle vine” (Neosepicaea jucunda) from Laos

More to come on what’s happening at 106 William Street very soon!

On this spring equinox, what truly feels like a new beginning, I’m reflecting on what we were able to accomplish in 2025 and one of the things I’m super proud of is that we tailored, repaired, embellished, mended, and cared for over 950 items! Grateful to all of you who choose to repair and care for your clothing and textiles and even more so for trusting us with them. An extra special thank you to Without her we couldn’t have completed this volume of work. I also had help from lots of folks as I tried to get a handle on the tailoring side of things. helped out a lot at our Kilburn studio (miss you Ike!) Zulay, Karen, Rosie () Emily (.m.moniz), Ana, Sydney () thanks to all of you for your help when I needed it so🫶

Yes that’s our new studio at 106 William St in DNB 🥶 Might as well make it official and let y’all know that we finally have the right space to host classes, workshops, talks, doc screenings, gatherings in general. Our tailoring, mending, sewing, and scheming for the future has been happening out of this space since the start of the year and we’re slowly getting it ready to be open to the public but of course that’s on pause at the moment. Stay tuned…!

Want to add that we’re honored to be continuing to teach and create out of the space that brought so much to the creative community of New Bedford through the work of artist & painter Hope you’re enjoying the better weather Alison 💙

Another cool tidbit about this space is that the first time I stepped foot in this space was when it was the record shop Here be Monsters opened by and Ryan laid down this cool ass floor💙
