Sun Mee Studio blends elements of Korean and Bronx culture to create fusion luxury. Founded by Angela Bonato, a Korean adoptee, the studio emerged from her desire to reconnect with her heritage while honoring her experiences in the United States. brings 7 years of experience in crystal and rhinestone placement, including work on projects for the Met Gala and Saturday Night Live. All products showcased here are designed and created in-house, each unique to Sun Mee Studio. The studio employs various production methods, from 3D printing to sewing, with a focus on handcrafted artistry and made-to-order pieces. "Each piece tells a story from my life, whether visiting South Korea for the first time at 30 years old, or drinking Cafe Bustelo in my mother-in-law's kitchen. All of my creations represent a part of who I am; they are fragments of my memories, brought to life through design.
