🇭🇹✨ Throwback Thursday to one of my favorite moments at Curlfest Curly Girl Collective

Seeing so many people stop, smile, share their stories, and instantly connect with this Haitian-inspired jacket reminded me why I started creating in the first place.

As a Haitian designer, it means everything to create pieces that allow people to wear their identity proudly and confidently. Watching so many of you fall in love with this jacket was a reminder that fashion can tell stories, preserve culture, and bring people together.

Here’s to honoring our roots, celebrating our culture, and continuing to create pieces that make a statement.

✨❤️💙Pack an order with me ❤️💙✨

One of my favorite parts of building SODOR is the moments you don’t always see.

The packing. The details. The late nights. The intention behind every stitch. The excitement of knowing that a piece I created is about to become part of someone else’s story.

Today, I’m preparing this Haitian-inspired jacket for its new owner 🇭🇹❤️ and moments like this remind me that I’m not just creating clothing, I’m building a brand rooted in culture, craftsmanship, and connection.

Being a solo entrepreneur means wearing many hats: designer, customer service, photographer, marketer, packer, and everything in between. It’s not always glamorous, but every step matters.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this journey. Every order, share, follow, and kind word helps bring this vision to life.

✨✨Some moments deserve more than a quick recap✨✨

CurlFest wasn’t just about setting up a booth or making sales it was about the entire experience.

From unloading the car before sunrise and bringing the vision to life, to dancing between customers, meeting incredible people, supporting fellow small businesses, and sharing conversations with vendors who are building their dreams just like I am! Every moment added something special to the day.

One of my favorite parts was seeing people connect with SODOR not just through the clothing, but through the stories, the culture, and the conversations behind each piece.

Building a brand isn’t always about what happens at the register. Sometimes it’s about the relationships you build, the memories you create, the inspiration you leave with, and the community that reminds you why you started.

CurlFest gave me all of that, and I’m carrying that energy into the next chapter.

See you at the Black Wall Street Festival in Hartford on August 15. 🤎✨

CurlFest… Curly Girl Collective what an unforgettable experience. 🤎✨

My heart is so full.

To every single person who stopped by the SODOR booth, shared a conversation, took a photo, followed our journey, purchased a piece, or simply showed love—thank you. Your support means more than you know.

Building a brand is not easy. There were long days, late nights, moments of uncertainty, and a whole lot of hard work behind this weekend. But seeing so many beautiful people connect with SODOR and embrace the vision made every second worth it.

A special thank you to my friend jewelremi my assistant, photographer, videographer, my sista 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 😘😘😘 and everyone who came out to support me. Having you there cheering me on made this experience even more meaningful.

This is only the beginning. Every event, every conversation, every customer reminds me why I started. I’m leaving CurlFest inspired, grateful, and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Hartford, Connecticut… BWS FESTIVAL 8/15 you’re next. 💫

Thank you for believing in SODOR. More designs. More stories. More culture. More to come.

With gratitude,
Patricia 🤎

Behind every beautiful pop-up display is a whole lot of work that most people never see.

Before the first customer walks up to the booth, there’s a car packed to the ceiling, countless trips unloading bins, garment racks, tables, inventory, signage, and supplies. There’s setting up the banner, arranging every piece with intention, making sure the business cards, thank-you cards, QR codes, payment system, and every little detail is ready.

There are early mornings, messy hair, no makeup, tired muscles, and moments of wondering if you remembered everything.

This is the side of entrepreneurship that isn’t always photographed.

But every box unpacked, every display adjusted, and every challenge overcome is another step toward building the vision God placed on my heart.

So today, I’m embracing the behind-the-scenes—the imperfect moments that make the finished result possible.

To every small business owner preparing for a market, festival, or pop-up this weekend: I see you. Keep showing up. Your hard work matters, even when no one else sees it.

See you at CURLFEST! ✨

Today, we’re sharing another glimpse into a collection that means so much to us.

Every stitch, every brushstroke, and every flag represents more than fashion—it represents our history, our resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of the Haitian people.

These incredible individuals proudly wore pieces inspired by Haiti’s rich culture and the strength of our diaspora. Through generations, we’ve carried our traditions, creativity, and perseverance wherever we go. This collection is our tribute to that legacy.

To every Haitian across the world: wear your heritage with pride. Our roots run deep, our culture is beautiful, and our story continues to inspire.

Thank you to our amazing photographer Constance Magloire for capturing the heart and soul behind this vision, and to our models Gail Azarii elle🤎 for bringing these pieces to life with such grace and pride.
