Work In Progress: Kymistry Designs Crochet Obi Belt : Last year I started thinking about making crochet obi belts. I looked online and the ones I saw I didn't love. I decided to make my own belt and a year later. I finished it last night, only to realize I forgot the little slit needed to secure it and keep it balanced. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Mistakes are my favorite because I can always find a creative way to fix a mistake without starting over.

💡Solution ? : I'm adding denim and interfacing to the back so that it could be a reversible obi belt. And you know, there's nothing that I love more than a reversible item of clothing. The next one will have the slit.

It's like finding pockets on an evening gown. It's like the dress that you love that you don't think fits and it fits you like a glove and it hides all the unwanted dips and dents.

So I'm going to finish my journey and I will post the final results soon.

Over the weekend, I had an impromptu belated birthday playdate to celebrate my friend, my sister . We went to and . It was lovely! We went to view People Are People by Christian Siriano and a tribute to Andre Leon Talley. It was there that we were surprised to discover The Face Value exhibit.
