🎉MARK YOUR CALENDAR! We're so excited to join Dr. Shelley on Saturday, July 18 at the Northwest Activity Center in Detroit for a FREE Literacy Fair hosted by the Ni'Jah Monifa Literacy Center.

We're bringing books for the entire family! Loads of African American toddler books & chapter books for elementary and middle school students.

🎬 KHEM FEST 2026 PROMO VIDEO CONTEST IS LIVE! 🎬
Are you a creator, animator, or filmmaker ready to show the world what you’ve got? We are officially launching the promo video contest for the 12th Annual Khem Fest, and we want to see your vision!
The clock is ticking. Show us your best work under our official theme:
🚀 THEME: Final Frame - Render Before Midnight
🏆 THE PRIZES
🥇 1st Place: $200 CASH + VIP Pass to Khem Fest 2026
🥈 2nd Place: $100 CASH
🥉 3rd Place: $50 CASH
📋 THE RULES
1. Length: Videos must be up to 30 seconds max.
2. Theme: Your video must embody “Final Frame - Render Before Midnight” (think clutch creativity, sci-fi, comic art, high stakes, and epic visual storytelling).
3. Collaboration: You MUST add Khem Fest as a collaborator on your post so we can see and share it!
4. Hashtag: Use in your caption.
5. Submission due by July 31st and add date and location.
