Working on a Schacht Baby Wolf loom I create textiles for person and home — scarves, table runners Plus my scarves are free of any scratchiness.

Not many people get the opportunity to travel down a road not taken, but I have embraced the opportunity to finally be in the “fashion business.” Using my Schacht Baby Wolf loom, which I bought last fall at an auction in Monson, I create hand-woven textiles for personal accessorizing and home decoration. I am drawn to classic weave patterns such as huck boxes, but I also enjoy developing my own de

signs. My current use of cotton fibers means that my woven pieces are easy to care for. The colors for my scarves and table runners were chosen so they could be worn with any outfit or work with any décor / color scheme.

Eco-printed with trumpet bell leaves and naturally overdyed silk eyeglass cases are ready just in time for Black Friday. The dyes are coreopsis and sulphur cosmos and a touch of madder. I plan to get them to the Southern Arizona Arts Guild Gallery ASAP! I love tweaking the colors using alum baths, a touch of iron sulfate, and more.

Bewoven Studio eco-printed and naturally dyed silk scarves are now available for purchase from the gift shop at the Tucson Desert Art Museum and Four Corners Gallery. Address 7000 E. Tanque Verde Rd at Sabino Canyon Rd. Open 10-4 Wednesday - Saturday. Sizes: Sporty 8x54, Long 8x72, Shawl 22x72. Because the museum is a nonprofit, shoppers are not charged sales tax!
