Did you know that there is a formula for achieving balance when getting dressed?
One: When you have One item on your body that draws the attention, your eye settles. No bouncing around—just calm.
Ton: When you add (+) on disparate items all together, things you love, your eye doesn’t zoom in on one element—rather you just see the whole look, the whole vibe. Ton.
None: When the colors simply blend together, we call this None. Your eye just rests on the body. A range of similar shades to tell the same story, together.
Tibi Founder & Creative Director Amy Smilovic notes, “Years ago, I deduced what triggered an ‘Ahh, yes that’s it,’ moment in my closet. There’s a truism that exists, irrespective of a season or a trend. Without fail, when my eye simply rests on the body, I feel whole. Settled. But, if my eye bounces around, I feel nervous. Chaotic, even. Giving this notion thought, I identified a clear formula: One, Ton, or None. I won’t try and convince you that this approach to dressing ensures your life will have direction and that things around you will fall into place. But I will double down on the idea that when you are settled, you can better see what’s around you and move intuitively but purposefully through life. Intuitive and Purposeful. Creative and Pragmatic.”
