Sometimes I look up + realize I’ve wandered into one of the artworks I’ve been living with ✨

Today I was mending a vintage piece when I noticed the resemblance between my apartment and this collage by a figure standing beside a dress form, somewhere between making + becoming - ha.

Maybe that’s what happens when you spend enough time around art. It’s fun collecting.

Last night I joined hundreds of makers for the , a floating mending party on the Hudson that brought together sewists, designers, artists, + repair enthusiasts from across NYC.

I brought an piece to work on. Between reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones, I spent more time talking than stitching but I’m finishing the project at home this week 😊 thank you for having me ❤️✨✂️

I stopped by the Reasonable Doubt 30th anniversary/ Jay-Z30 pop-up + found myself paying just as much attention to the typography, merchandising, + exhibition design as the music.
