When you come with the receipt. Mike Rogers was just caught on tape talking about how he wanted to make sure that there were retired cops who could intimidate voters in the city of Detroit.

We deserve the right to vote. People have fought and died for that right. No more election deniers.

One of our favorite quotes comes from Senator Ted Kennedy, a man born into extraordinary wealth who understood that the concerns of one should be the concerns of us all.

“For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.”

Today, across America and around the world, people are finding their voices. Not simply speaking from their mouths, but crying out from their souls for change.

Poverty, war, economic uncertainty, and the concentration of wealth and power threaten the freedom and dignity of millions.

But our survival as humanity cannot be about the survival of the fittest. It must be about our willingness to care for one another.

We are not divided by our struggles nearly as much as some would have us believe. Regardless of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or political affiliation, we share a common desire for freedom, dignity, opportunity, and a better life.

This election is about more than political parties. It is about people.

It is about rejecting division, reclaiming our voices, and recognizing that the struggles of our neighbors are our struggles too.

Kennedy reminded us that the work goes on, the cause endures, and hope still lives.

And when we stand together, united by a common purpose, we remind those who hold power that the greatest power belongs to the people.

WE MATTER.

And our votes matter.

After this election, Democrats need to go behind closed doors and take a hard look at the seats they left on the table.

Seats they could have won.

A good candidate is a good candidate, regardless of where they come from or whether the national party initially sees their potential.

Investing early in strong candidates matters. Waiting until those candidates have independently built momentum, organized, raised money, and run impressive campaigns before deciding to step in is not a winning national strategy.

But let’s stick a pin in this conversation and come back to it after the election.

you listen closely you will see and hear the frustration of our community. Honest and hard-working people who just want a chance to provide for their families and give their children opportunities they’ve never had. I felt every word he said. In a room full of people he spoke up and spoke truth to power. Latinos will be decisive this election. In states and district across the country, Latinos will decide who goes to Washington DC to represent us. We the people.

Students at the University of Texas at Arlington on Wednesday protested Tarrant County’s decision to remove 92 polling sites this year as complaints over voter line wait times increase.

The students marched from the campus to the Tarrant County subcourthouse polling site, which had a wait time over 45 minutes, according to the county’s own website.

An organizer of the protest, Emeri Callaway, called the county’s move “voter suppression.”

“For too long, the young people have been silenced,” Callaway said. “We’re standing up against that because we do matter.”

It’s not. But it damn could be! This scene is more than a decade old, and the question at the center of it still hasn’t gone away.

In The Newsroom, Will McAvoy is asked what makes America the greatest country in the world. Instead of giving the answer everyone expects, he points to the places where America has fallen short.

Then he explains what made the country great in the first place.

America built, invented, explored, educated and took on problems that seemed impossible. It became one of the most powerful and influential countries in history because generations of people believed tomorrow could be better than today.

Loving your country doesn’t require believing it’s perfect. It means appreciating what it has accomplished while still wanting it to live up to its potential.

Greatness isn’t something you inherit forever. Every generation has to earn it again.

As of 3:30 p.m., 70K+ voters have been processed in Harris County, surpassing the previous record of 63,188 set in 2018, officials said.⁠

Harris County Clerk Teneisha Hudspeth discussed how people still accustomed to straight-ticket voting can approach this lengthy November 2026 ballot. Some voters will have 100 or more races on their ballot, so election officials are urging people to come prepared.⁠

A new survey finds more than 4 in 10 Americans had difficulty paying for at least one basic necessity in the past year.⁠

Paying for medical care was the biggest challenge people faced, according to a survey by the Pew Research Center. Next was daily transportation, housing, and food.⁠
⁠
Pew also finds more than half of Americans did not have enough emergency savings to cover expenses for three months. The findings come as many voters say cost of living is a top election issue. Prices are climbing faster than most people’s paychecks, driven in part by the war with Iran⁠
