Today, for just a few hours. America felt right. No fighting, no politics, just pure love of the game. For those few hours this afternoon, I got to experience what life must have felt like when these cars were new. For those few hours, the world was brighter, more crisp, and the air was filled with the sound of V8s and the smell of burning petrol. The sounds and smells of freedom.
