Sneak peek of a rare vanity I’m starting on. The painted pyrography, mirrored compartment, huge pristine mirror and hand carved trim makes this a very rare piece. Refurbishing will take time, patience, and detail work to keep it as original as possible. Wish me luck!!!

I turned this short little end table into a “chess table” for the grandkids. It was the perfect size! I just polished up the bottom, painted and stenciled the the top and added an ageing glaze. Tomorrow a couple coats of poly and off it will go to Omaha. Thanks Lisa, for the table! I knew this needed to be something fun😁

Found a beautiful end table that had a pretty wrecked top and needed some help. The top decoupage idea was Holly’s from Photographic Images. I found a heavily threaded rice paper and she found this perfect pic of my granddaughter. The table wasn’t stripped..just cleaned, lightly sanded, thinly stained and touched up, sealed, then finished. I didn’t want to erase its age altogether. A glass top is being cut to fit the top and will sit just inside the beading. The photo is softened and edged with a combo of soft moody colors that helped it blend.
