Fall is starting to trickle in here at Clarity Cotton Dresses and our first fall debut is here.

The Mary takes her name from Mary Oliver, the Ohio-born poet who spent her whole life paying attention to the natural world. She wrote about the grasshopper, the wild geese, the light coming down through the trees, and teaching a whole country that noticing nature's details is its own kind of prayer, and its own quiet kind of courage.

Deep golden ochre threaded with dusty blue, this dress is the color of turning leaves and a late-September field, of amber light and far-off hills, finished with a blue border at the hem. The square neckline sits between two wide fixed straps, the bodice is smocked close for a gentle, holding stretch, and the skirt drops in full tiers all the way to the ankle, with two deep pockets in the seams. Don't forget the full length liner that our 100% cotton dresses are known for, handmade with all natural dyes and zero preservatives.

Periwinkle blue cotton hand-block printed all over with blue hyacinth florals — small, layered, and impossibly detailed, the kind of print that rewards a second look and a third. The bodice is woven in the front, draping into a modest V-neck with delicate accent buttons running down the bust. The back of the bodice is ruched for gentle stretch and a flattering fit, keeping the top of the dress form fitting. There are adjustable block-printed spaghetti straps.
