My main goal when hitting up the thrift stores is hunting for treasures for my booths. But every now and then (okay… more often than not), I come across pieces I just can’t leave behind for myself. Some become forever pieces that find a permanent spot in my home, while others eventually make their way back out into the world for someone else to enjoy.
By the way — this is a Norwegian coffee server and gravy boat. Now all I need are the cups. Which means, it’s time to head back out on the hunt.

I am a huge Project Runway fan and have watched every episode since its beginning. Often, judges and contestants emphasized the importance of knowing who your customer is and having a story to go with the design. I used to see this as silly and not that necessary. In actuality, that was silly of me, especially when hugely successful Michael Kors dispensed this advice. Having my own vintage booth, I now get it. Your booth will be more successful if it's cohesive and appeals to that customer who can imagine that vase, that table, that art, etc., in their home.
