We all live and breathe, and we all try our best to survive every day the best we can. But only some of us seem to really understand what this life is all about. Well, this is the story about an Indian guy, who happens to have a name that almost perfectly matches his personality: Happy. Anand in Hindi means “Happiness”. Like, thanks mom and dad, for “not” putting pressure on him to never be sad. A
lthough he is not the only guy named Anand in this beautiful world, ever since he was born, he has unintentionally been living up to his own name. It all changed one day, after he lost a dear friend in a horrific car accident. Happy pulled through the injuries, after being hospitalized for several days. He realized how short and fragile this life is, and how quickly it can all be taken away from us. He started appreciating and searching for the things that make him truly happy, and eliminating the things from his life that do not. When I met Happy for the first time in Oklahoma City, his charisma was simply contagious. After talking to him in the middle of a loud nightclub for only 10 minutes, it seemed like we have been friends for many years already. Over time, it was obvious that the pattern repeats. Everyone who meets Happy and gets a chance to spend some time with him, probably has some of the best time of their lives. You can love him, or you can hate him. But you cannot change his personality. Happiness is a choice, and he has made his. So did all of the friends that he has chosen to surround himself with. So if you care to listen to what we believe in, here at Happy Productions: Surround yourself with positive vibes only. Let yourself dance to that music. Work hard, play hard. Stop and reassess yourself along the way, because you never know how long this path called life is. As long as it is not harming anyone else in the process, have as much fun as you can. Rich or poor, short or tall, black or white, male or female, gay or straight, young or old… We are all people, and we all deserve to be happy. And as far as we know with confidence, we only have one chance at life. Spread the joy, don’t poison your soul with negative emotions. If it doesn’t make you better or happier, relieve yourself of it. Happy and our little Happy Crew have made their choice to be happy. It is the ultimate purpose of life. It’s you, it’s me, it’s what all should strive to be.
