I’m so proud of how this quilt turned out! My costumer and I collaborated on a design to make a memory quilt for her son’s time in Cub Scouts. It was so fun to watch it come together and actually look like the design I drew and colored with my daughter’s crayons. 🖍️

Life Hack for you!!

If you have a space in your house that is super messy/cluttered it can feel really overwhelming to tackle it. I enjoy organization but recently I haven’t had the mental capacity to stay on top of systems. So now I’m left with covered floors…covered surfaces…STUFF EVERYWHERE!!

A good friends came over last week. We were just catching up and I wanted to show her my sewing room and longarm machine in action. When she saw this guest bedroom/office/fabric storage room she offered to help me straighten it while we chatted. Just that short time made a huge impact:. Today I worked on it again.

Here is the hack:
Set a timer for 30 mins. Work in the space for 30 mins. Try not to get distracted by your phone, laundry, your phone, the dog, your phone, etc. when the 30 min timer is up you’re done. Walk away.

I was amazed at how much I accomplished. When I started there was much less floor visible and the desk only had my computer and a mountain of junk on it. I’m going to test and document my progress. The goal will be for Ross room to be usable as a guest bedroom again!
