The DunBroch clan from Disney Pixar's Brave has an official tartan on the Scottish Register of Tartans. So cool!

If you've ever wondered about what a "tartan" is - this is the definition from the Register - "For the purposes of the Register, the definition of 'tartan' is that contained within the Scottish Register of Tartans Act (2008) Section 2: 'A tartan is a design which is capable of being woven consisting of two or more alternating coloured stripes which combine vertically and horizontally to form a repeated chequered pattern.' The tartan pattern is traditionally known as the sett of the tartan."

I created this memory pillow for a client as a Mother's Day gift. The gift was for her Mother-in-Law, made from her late Father-in-Law's shirt. I hope this thoughtful gift brings her comfort!

A behind the scenes look into how the process unfolded! I'm so pleased with how it turned out, and I'm falling in love with traditional piecing and quilting more and more each time I get to create.

As soon as I had the thought I had to make the shirt!

Some of the lettering took time to digitally create and piece together, but I LOVE how it turned out!

We also LOVED cruising on the Disney Destiny!

I posted the shirts early in our Facebook cruise group…and saw someone in the terminal who had obviously ripped the image for their own shirt! I wasn’t even mad though…totally compliment 😂

I can’t believe this was almost a year ago!

I know she could really only wear this shirt for one day, but she was out growing this size and it was worth it.
