Welcome to insp.EAR.ational !
If you are new to our magical shop, we are a handmade and made-to-order ear shop on Etsy that specializes in making the perfect ears for you and your loved ones on your upcoming trips to the parks.
We got started in the summer of 2019 when Karin (the shop founder and ear maker) and Zoë went to the parks and bought ears they loved but gave them migraines. From there, Karin set to work to make a fun set of ears that would feel comfortable. Initially something just for fun, the many ideas of what ears to make took off and thus ... insp.EAR.ational was born.
The name insp.EAR.ational comes from Mary Poppins when Bert calls Mary Poppins "inspiiiirational!" with the emphases on 'ear.' It's a fun take on the fact that magic inspires us, and all our ears are inspired by the magic we love.
In our shop you can find tons and tons of ear options. We have distinct Minnie and Mickey style bows, a padded headband that's one-size-fits-most (and you can even get rubber teeth put into your headband for extra support), and lots of styles for all the park lovers in your life.
Our first big hit in the shop was our Chewie ears, which are still a fan favorite today. This felt right to us, considering we are a huge Star Wars family. Our fluffy-style ears were also a huge success when we first dropped them into our shop with three colors. So much so, that today you'll find a whole collection of fluffy ears in as many colors as you'd like!
All of our ears are handmade and made-to-order by Karin herself. We are currently operating on a two-week turnaround time. And, if a custom order is of interest to you, Karin will make sure to work with you to bring to life the ears straight from your brain to your head.
While we've been a shop for a few years now, we're in the process of revamping our shop and bringing in some new items for your magical adventures. We have fun bags and keychains which will be available soon and a few other surprises us our sleeve.
Thank you to everyone who has been with us from the beginning, found us along the way, or is just finding us now! We look forward to bringing you all into our workshop to see the magic happen. And we can't wait to ship out your ears to your door.
