Honored to have Kelsey Glennon | Travel Journalist in the shop, and so grateful to her for shining a light on this little beach town I love so much.
I grew up in the Ocala National Forest just off Highway 40, so watching downtown Ormond Beach evolve from my car window over the last 34 years has been special. I’ve always been passionate about this area’s potential. Since I was a teenager, I’ve driven the streets of Ormond and Daytona, pointing out forgotten buildings and notable architecture to anyone who would listen — imagining how I’d restore them without excessive modernization. My own shop’s full gut renovation was my first real swing at it. I designed and sourced everything myself. (And it was all secondhand. Imagine that!)
Rural Old Florida, a snowbird’s estate sale, the beach, and vintage cars feel like a part of my bloodstream. It’s what eventually brought me back to Florida 8 years ago after living in Atlanta and New York City, where I collected inspiration for the store I dreamed of creating. Now that dream is Georgie Studio. And the best part? We’re just getting started. 🤍
The most consistent feedback I get from my clients and customers is that they are tired of mass produced and low quality junk, where Georgie is a refuge. It is the biggest reward to know my values and vision are also yours. I take it very seriously and have much in the works to continue bringing you rare, handcrafted, luxury vintage from all over the world.
