ENTREPRENEURIAL OPERATING PARTNER WANTED — SEAPLANE PROVINCETOWN
Seaplane Shirts is looking for an energetic, highly responsible person to take charge of our Provincetown store at 234 Commercial Street for the balance of the 2026 season, 2027 and, we hope, beyond.
We’re looking for someone who can operate the store as though it were their own—eventually earning an ownership stake in our Provincetown business. You will be responsible for building the team, driving sales, creating events and local partnerships, and bringing ideas and personality to the business.
Seaplane is an established independent apparel brand known for distinctive limited-run print shirts, with stores in Provincetown, Palm Springs and San Francisco.
As Operating Partner you will have full authority over local staffing, scheduling, merchandising, events and daily operations. Seaplane supplies the brand, merchandise, systems and creative direction.
The balance of this season offers an opportunity for us to work together and begin planning for 2027. The position includes regular compensation plus performance-based upside, with the potential to develop into a longer-term operating partnership for the right person. Western migration is possible in off-season.
You may be a strong retail or hospitality manager, a former business owner, an excellent salesperson ready for more responsibility, or someone with deep Provincetown experience who has wanted to run something of your own.

After two and a half years of service, following a brief and challenging mission to Provincetown, we regret to announce that Jim Walker has resigned his post at Seaplane.
A talented local promoter and social media user, Jim brought our brand to the attention of many new fans. We are thankful for Jim's contribution and wish him well in his next endeavors.
We would like to emphasize that our company does not share his recent views on Provincetown. Seaplane has been involved in the community since the launch of our first store here in 2018. We value the unique vibrancy of Provincetown, its people, and the warm reception we have received.

Seaplane was out with Pride in San Francisco this weekend. Our SF crew, Loram and Schuyler V (yes, we now have TWO Schuylers!) manned the booth in Castro.

Be sure to join us this Wednesday for the grand opening of our brand new store in Provincetown at 234 Commercial. The party is 5-10pm. Our Ptown store will be open 10am-10pm everyday with Jim from Palm Springs and our new hire Alex.
