The Legacy Behind T.C. 51 Apparel Co.

T.C. 51 Apparel Co. was built on faith, family, freedom, and a life of service—values that came from one man: Richard Edwin “Peanut” Bennett.

Peanut was a decorated Vietnam veteran, a lifelong law enforcement officer, a mentor, and most importantly, a man of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He dedicated his life to serving others—his country, his community, and his family—with honor, humility, and strength.

On January 16, 2026, Peanut went home to be with the Lord. While he may no longer walk beside us here, his legacy is not gone—it lives on in everything we do.

Our name tells his story:
“TC” for Taylor County.
“51” for his radio number.

It’s more than a name—it’s a reminder of a life lived the right way.

Peanut believed in people. He loved deeply, served faithfully, and stood firm in his faith.
And now, we hold onto this promise:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23

Every piece of apparel we create will continue to honor his life, his service, and his Savior.

This isn’t just a brand.
This is a legacy.

A servant, a patriot, a man of deep faith, and a legacy worth carrying forward. Peanut walked this life with honor, and today he walks hand in hand with his Savior.

We will continue to honor him with every piece we create.

Today I want to honor a man who meant more to me than words can fully express—my Daddy, Richard “Peanut” Bennett.

Many of you know Peanut as a decorated Vietnam veteran, a lifelong law enforcement officer, a mentor to countless young men in uniform, and the inspiration behind T.C. 51 Apparel Co. His service to this country and to his community is the very foundation of why this company exists.

But to me, he was Daddy.

He was a man who never met a stranger, who genuinely loved people and cared about what mattered to them. He loved his church family and found true joy serving as a greeter at New Home Baptist Church. He loved kids, dogs, and laughter—but more than anything, he loved Jesus.

Daddy often said he was thankful for God’s grace and forgiveness, and his relationship with the Lord only grew stronger with each passing day. Today, he is face to face with the One he loved and served so faithfully.

Scripture says, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)
If ever a verse fit a man, it fits him.

I am proud to be a child of the King—but I am also incredibly proud to be Peanut’s son.

We will continue to carry his legacy forward through T.C. 51 Apparel Co. Every piece of apparel we produce will honor his life, his service, and his Savior, Jesus Christ. His story will live on, and so will the values he stood for: faith, family, freedom, and service.

🇺🇸 A Memorial Day Message from T.C. 51 Apparel and McCall-Bennett Co. 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we hold near and dear to our hearts. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a sacred reminder that our liberty came at a price.

It is because of their selfless courage that we wake up free. We will never forget those who laid down their lives on the battlefield, nor will we turn away from the ones who fought valiantly overseas but lost the battle at home. The haunting reality that 22 veterans a day die by su***de is not just a statistic — it’s a national tragedy.

To every Gold Star family, every grieving friend, and every soldier still silently fighting their own war: we see you, we honor you, and we will never forget you.

At T.C. 51 Apparel and McCall-Bennett Co., our hearts beat with deep gratitude and unshakable respect for those who stood the line so we could live in peace. If we could do more, we would — and we will keep trying.

May we live each day in a way that’s worthy of their sacrifice. And may we never stop reaching out to those still here, reminding them they are not alone.

Freedom isn’t free — and we remember. Always.
