Sometimes the biggest transformation begins with the floor plan.
Opening up the walls and reworking the kitchen layout changed the entire relationship between the kitchen, dining and living spaces.

Fall is nowhere near Florida yet, but somehow, as soon as September starts getting close, my eye begins to shift.

I start gravitating toward warmer woods, deeper colors, layers, candlelight, beautiful tables, richer textures in interiors, in what I wear, even in the smallest details.

Maybe it’s all those years of living in New York, but I still feel the seasons before they arrive.

Florida may not get the memo for a while, but apparently I already have. 🤎🍂

A closer look at the living room at .

This project was an especially special one for me because I got to design it for friends. I wanted this room to feel elevated and beautiful, but also comfortable and made for the way their family really lives.

What was once an empty, unused space has now become one of the most lived-in spaces in their home. And to me, that’s always the best part of a transformation. 🤍

It’s kind of chic to make time around the table.

To slow down just enough to set the table. To pull out the dishes you love. To light a candle, pour a cup of tea, or make an ordinary breakfast feel just a little more special.

None of it is about perfection. It’s about creating small moments that make home feel lived in and loved.

And maybe it’s also kind of chic to stop saving your favorite things for special occasions. 🤍
