What I like to do is sit in the middle of my room and find the fabrics I'd like to use that match what I have envisioned then follow the outlines of what I have in my mind. Sewing is so relaxing and tells a story with all that I want to say from bring the intangible into reality.

Work in progress indeed🩷

Blue skies those wavering hills and foliage in Santa Fe called me back to create some art, who hoo!!🩷 Now this soft sculpture basket has a ways to go but I feel like I'm moving in the right direction.

Speaking of... here's the part I don't really talk about

I started giving my studio a clean up in between all I've been working on and believe me, it's no small tale. I keep wondering now where did I get all this! And oh yeah, this piece needs a home! 🤣

Then, I got incredibly thankful that the parts I want to share are created and I'm still creating to bring out my story in this moment.

So now I'm staying in the moment and created some wiggle room in here, and can find what I need to keep going, I'd say that's a good thing.

This sculpture needs more bushes... And cactus and love. So I'm going to hop back to it!

I might be missing in action for a hot minute but keep the hearts coming and visit my Etsy shop this holiday season🩷 I'll be adding more art soon☺️

I'm just so excited to make these. These Christmas Tree Sculptures I've been working on over the weekend are starting to get fancy 🤣 Rhinestones, beads, tightly coiled fabrics dancing in holiday colors.

At my last show, people have been telling me their art is going to sit on their Holiday table this year. Sure makes me think how art fits into our lives all the time doesn't it? 🩷

This image popped up and sure appreciate taking a look back as I move forward🩷 It helps me to remember that experiences are always changing. So nothing is set in stone really. I've always been so fond of this portrait I drew in pencils called "Protection." He always gave me such comfort when I looked at him 🩷

Over the weekend I was invited to talk to the public about my craft and how I got started. You know, I didn't know what to expect but it went well 🩷 A group gathered around my spot and listened so intently. Back in the day I used to be so shy about talking in front of people. Well, hey after time passes, you do something long enough a whole lot can change eh? 🩷 It was a nice time ☺️

Keeping a thankful heart will continue to bring blessings🩷 I came from The Woodlands TX show and there are many things to be thankful for. I'm thankful my sister came with me. Thankful for that great traveling weather and those beautiful blue skies. Thankful for volunteers who helped me carry in and out all that into my space at the show. Thankful to the people who supported in my art.
Thankful I have a couple weeks to create new for the next shows coming🩷 There's always something to be thankful for☺️
