- The first step is a detailed consultation to discuss what you dream of in a gown, the time-frame, and a price estimation.
- If the consultation is satisfactory, I will personally draw a fully illustrated and detailed design of the gown to approve or make changes. Once a design is approved, the final price is calculated, which heavily depends on the style and complexity of the garment. This will most-likely happen via virtual communication.
- Detailed measurements are then taken in person, along with a very basic and rough pattern draped onto your upper body.
- 2-4 Fittings are needed, for me to make corrections on rough samples of the drafted pattern
- Final fittings might be necessary, otherwise the garment is delivered after it is entirely finished. Notes on Bespoke Apparel:
- The creation process involves an intimate communication between a designer and client
- Fittings and taking measurements are entirely for the reference of a designer, almost never reflecting the final product, so the process is exciting while requiring trust of the designer.
- Depending on the distance, minor alterations may be required if few fittings are possible, such as hems. (accommodations will be made in the construction of the gown if this circumstance occurs)
- all products are individually made by a single person, which takes time and attention to detail. It is important to understand that exact machines do not produce these garments, so the garment will look and feel hand-crafted rather factory-made.
