LEE BROMS FURS was founded in October of 1949 by my father, Lee Broms. He was brought to Peoria, Illinois by Bergners to run their fur department in downtown Peoria. After working for Bergners for 11 months, he decided to leave Bergners and purchased Fern’s Fur Shop on Fulton Street…and that’s how this all started!!!! The store on Fulton Street was only 400 square feet with a basement that doubled
as a vault for the storage of fur coats. It also had a loft above the first floor that was used as the shop area. Today, ‘broms furs & fashions’ sits in its new location in beautiful Peoria Heights with a total of approximately 5,000 square feet with 3,000 square feet of showroom space that boasts two fur salons plus additional space for my fur workshop!! From one-of-a-kind furs designed by me, Jeff Broms, to the most simple designs – everything you could possibly want can be found here at broms furs and fashions!!
