And with the blink of an eye, 2 years have passed

After 20 years of working every day to make Philadelphia more beautiful, it was the right time to step away and take some much needed time off. Bali, Indonesia may seem like the other side of the world for most but for me, for these last 2 years, it gave me the inspiration I so needed, and felt like a peaceful home.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to not only take some much needed time for myself (and my family) ... but I was also lucky enough to get a chance to work on a private villa and send my child to one of the best international schools.

And dreams do come true. If you make them.

I’ve since opened a small studio in NY and am ready to take on some new design projects. Busybee won’t be continuing to offer short term staging but we can create a set for your developer to own.

We are open to all residential (big or small) design & decorating jobs. Need to replace / purchase new furniture? Help with finishes? Want help with a new bathroom or kitchen?Need a color / wallaper consult? Want to purchase an affordable staging set for your model home?

I’m so happy to be back to the east coast and excited to help and reconnect with so many of you.

As many of you know, we have had some big changes at Busybee Design. The last two years, spent living and working in Bali, have been nothing short of incredible. We were offered a design opportunity that we couldn’t turn down and were lucky to have been able to put Busybee on hold, and take the leap to move our lives to a magical island.

We have had a whirlwind 20+ years in the design and real estate industry and Philly has been SO good to us. From starting out as the only staging firm to diving headfirst into the world of residential interiors, to opening a 5,000 sq ft retail location, it has been such a FUN ride.

But as we reevaluate all we have achieved, we realize that it is time to say goodbye to staging and all the wonderful chaos this field brings. And thus, it’s time we part with our staging inventory and say adios to the idea of having a warehouse and owning a surplus of pretty furniture. It’s been two years since we began our Warehouse Sales ... downsizing from a 10,000 sq ft to a 1,000 sq ft warehouse. And now the time has come to let the rest go and have our FINAL (really! we swear) SALE !

We are offering a lucky buyer an opportunity to purchase our remaining 1000 sq ft of furnishings. All of our favorite hand-selected pieces. Almost 100 items. In one sweep. This is an opportunity for a developer or a staging/design firm to come in and buy at least 20% BELOW wholesale. Whether you are a developer who needs to stage a few of his/her own models or a design firm that is building their rental inventory or just Joe Schmo who has a big home to furnish and realizes what an incredible deal we are offering. Let’s talk about the rolling office chair....everyone has sat in one, whether it’s at your home office or at work and they’re very practical. But does anyone know who invented this great idea to put wheels on the bottom of chairs???? Charles Darwin is the man behind it all. He wanted a simple way to get to his specimens 🕷🦋🦇🐛really quickly while studying so that’s why he incorporated wheels to his chair. Ohhh if he could see the many ways we have reinvented the office chair as we’re on a “roll.” 🤗
