When I heard that Angels Community Outreach was running low on essential items for local families, I knew I wanted to help.
This week, we donated a large collection of brand-new toiletries and personal care products that had been set aside from our clientsā organizing projects. We also picked up additional supplies to help restock their shelves.
Over the past few years, Iāve made it a habit to bring childrenās books, clothing, shoes, and household items to their donation bins, but I had never had the opportunity to visit while the volunteers were there. Iām so grateful that today was the day.
I was able to tour their beautifully organized free community closet, meet some of the incredible volunteers, and see firsthand the impact theyāre making. Every week, they help hundreds of local families with clothing, toiletries, and access to the food pantry next door.
Theyāre always accepting donations and can also use more volunteers. Donation drop-offs are accepted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
If you know someone who could use a little extra support, encourage them to submit a request through Angelās Community Outreachās website. Their volunteers thoughtfully gather the items each family needs, prepare them for pickup, and schedule a time for them to shop the free community closet.
When we say that House of J focuses on sustainable cleanouts, this is exactly what we mean. Organizing isnāt just about clearing clutterāitās about making sure the things our clients no longer need find their way to someone who truly does.
Angelās Community Outreach is doing incredible work for our community, and Iām excited to continue supporting their mission through donations, partnerships, and future community events. ššš
