This shawl took me a bit longer to weave (like about 10 hours longer) than most of my scarves and shawls. And that is because I did a loom shaped shawl. What that means is that I wove 30 inches, pulled the yarn forward on my loom over 30 inches, cut it off, tied the remaining warp back on, and used that extra 30 inches of warp as the weft. Each individual thread had to be pulled in using an oversize crochet him. After I finished weaving that section, I had one more section to go, and I could use a regular warp, shuttle, and weft . I really liked to have this came out. I wouldn’t advise doing this kind of a shawl when you have 700 threads to work with in the warp. The colors came out beautifully. And Liv Dempsey is a perfect model for that shawl.
