As a kid in the Midwest, fall equinox or autumn wasn't a date on a calendar, it was a whole season that you wanted to be outside.
School starting, the chill in the air, football, leaves turning slowly over weeks, raking piles, that smell, woodsy? Is that 🤔 a word?
Light jackets coming out but not heavy coats yet. It felt like it lasted months because your whole world was smaller and slower, so you noticed every change.

As summer is winding down now - back to school, state fairs & dare I say "pumpkin Spice" everywhere -

Just this past weekend I'd experienced an early a.m peaceful porch, friends gathered round, coffee in hand. The lake like glass, with only the distant echo of a loon to break the silence.

It's the comforts of home that bring it all back. I lived in my Yogaz all weekend - so cozy, so soft. That feeling of being wrapped up, warm, right where you're supposed to be. That's what fall has always been to me. ☀️🍂

I filmed this years ago and it still holds true.

Yoga and coffee mix so well because they're the same ritual in different languages.

Both ask you to slow down.
Both are about breath, heat, presence, and taking a moment before the world gets loud.

We don't do coffee to rush. We do it to arrive.
