April was strong for the store but brutal for me. I was short-staffed and overwhelmed.
I oversee the store, two satellite locations, the online shop, eBay, social media for my shop and another store I work with, do all the accounting, bookkeeping, inventory management, sourcing inventory, cleaning fixing inventory. Aand right now I’m helping organize a big event for vintage store day.
I usually do all this with the help of about 22 hours of paid staff help every week. And in April I had less than half those hours of helpers, because life happens sometimes.
I’m not complaining. I love this work. But I am so behind on so many things, and I’m trying to catch up while also completely wiped. So, lots and lots of pep talks, coffee, blasting Cardi B for the energy (Money Bag over and over).
