As a reseller and longtime eBay user, I’m pretty disappointed to hear that eBay gift cards are being discontinued.

When family or friends asked what I wanted for a birthday or holiday, an eBay gift card was always an easy answer. I could use it for inventory, supplies, collectibles, books, electronics, or just about anything else.

It seemed like one of the most flexible gift cards out there, so I’m surprised to see it go.

What do you think? Is eBay making a mistake, or does it not really matter? Have you ever received or purchased an eBay gift card?

Have you ever had eBay tell you an item was in the wrong category even though you're convinced it was listed correctly?

I sold this Yves Saint Laurent suit and eBay routed it through Authenticity Guarantee. After reviewing it, the authenticator determined that the item was "miscategorized" and therefore ineligible for the program.

The part I'm struggling to understand is that the suit was listed in Men's Clothing > Suits & Suit Separates, which seems like the correct category. The item was then forwarded to the buyer anyway, so the sale is proceeding normally.

I'm curious whether anyone else has run into this. Have you ever had an item sent to authentication and then been told it was ineligible? Did eBay ever explain what was supposedly wrong, or were you left guessing like I am?

Some items just suck.

These 40th birthday golf balls have been living rent free in my inventory for way too long. No watchers. No offers. No interest. Today they officially graduated from inventory and entered the trash can.

What is the difference between Labubu and La-Bubble-Bu?

I have absolutely no idea.

What I do know is that after looking up comps on these cards, I noticed a bunch of similar listings appear to have been VERO’d or removed. Maybe they’re fine, maybe they’re not, but for the amount of money involved I’m not interested in finding out the hard way.

Sometimes the best flip is the one you don’t list.

Anybody else ever pass on an item because the potential headache wasn’t worth the profit?

This cute little coffee table book about Lululemon Athletica caught my eye, so I decided to take a chance on it.

I couldn’t find any solid comps, but since I’m already posting to fashion-focused marketplaces like Poshmark, I figured there are probably some Lululemon fans out there who would appreciate it.

Sometimes you have to trust your instincts on niche items and see what happens.

Ooh, check these out. Found a stack of old vintage Studebaker magazines and I couldn’t pass them up.

I love finding stuff like this. Not necessarily because it’s worth a fortune, but because it’s a little piece of history that survived all these years. You can tell there are people out there who absolutely geek out over Studebakers and vintage automotive memorabilia.

I picked up this scapular and thought it might be an easy $6 sale.

I got it photographed, started looking it over one more time, and then spotted a major problem that completely changed my mind about listing it.
