This mom has been working hard to create a better future for herself and her baby.

After her baby was born substance-exposed, mom made the decision to get sober and fight to remain with her child. But with a felony on her record, finding employment and providing for her growing baby has been an ongoing challenge.

She and her baby are living with her grandmother, who has been helping support them.

As her baby continues to grow, so do the needs. That’s where The Hands and Feet stepped in.

We provided the essentials this family needed most—including clothing, shoes, and diapers—helping take one more thing off mom’s plate as she continues working toward stability.

Sometimes, support looks like something as simple as a pair of shoes, a new outfit, or a box of diapers. But to a family navigating a difficult season, those essentials can mean so much more.

A year ago, a mom was fighting to escape domestic violence.

In February of last year, her daughter entered foster care. After months of hard work, healing, and determination, they are finally reunited.

Now a single mom, she has recently found employment and is working every day to build a safe, stable future for her little girl. Recently, her daughter was also diagnosed with autism, bringing new challenges and new needs as they begin this next chapter together.

Reunification is a beautiful milestone—but it's not the end of the journey. For many families, it's the beginning of rebuilding.

That's where The Hands and Feet steps in.

When a child comes home, the needs don't stop. Families often need clothing, shoes, hygiene items, diapers, and other essentials to create a safe, stable home. Through our resource center, we're able to provide these critical items so parents can focus on rebuilding their lives, strengthening their families, and meeting the unique needs of their children instead of worrying about how they'll afford the basics.

Every referral we receive is an opportunity to remind a family that they don't have to do this alone.
