It’s a rainy day here in Portland, so I’m reminiscing of bathing suit weather that will hopefully return.

I hope today you can feel joy and happiness, and that the weight of the world isn’t too heavy. 💙

Being body positive isn’t as easy as everyone says. Everything out in society will try and push you down no matter what size you are, and tell you you’re not good enough. It’s so important to not only have positive role models but to recognize when media and other outlets do not serve you.

If you’re reading this, I support you, and you are beautiful. I hope that my content can help bring you joy and appreciate yourself in new ways. 💕

I’m a strong believer that you should be able to express yourself with style however you want. To me, that means dying my hair blue because I needed a change.

If you were waiting for a sign to dye your hair this is it! 🌙

Head to mylittlebohodream.com to read my new blog post about why to dye your hair during coronavirus. 🌞

Feeling especially grateful this Sunday morning to be able to be happy and healthy and safe. I don’t know about you guys but I’ve had an absolutely insane week with studying for the MCAT and family obligations. I’m trying to take today to really take time for myself and not be hard to myself for not being productive today.

How are you spending your weekend?

New blog post up in a few hours at mylittlebohodream.com. 🌞🌿

If you’re like me, you probably enjoy a healthy mix of style and comfort. I’ve been super into these scrunchies/hair scarves because they let me still express my style when I’m wearing a bun or a ponytail. I’ve also styled them with a top knot which was beyond cute.

These are made from .messy.bun.boutique which is a small female-owned shop on Etsy. Highly recommend. 🌞

As always, item details are available on my blog at mylittlebohodream.com. 🌲

For almost an entire year I was terrified of wearing a bikini because I was ashamed of my body and didn’t want other people to see me or judge me.

It’s taken a lot of work mentally and physically, to be able to wear whatever I want and not be afraid of what the world has to say about it. Is it hard? Oh yeah. Is it worth it? Definitely.

There are a myriad of ways to be kind to yourself and I know everyone says “just love yourself” but it’s really not that easy. There are so many societal pressures on women (and men!!) to look and feel perfect all the time, and it’s just not realistic. Making an active choice to not be so hard on yourself is the very first step.

How have you been kind to yourself lately?

Also new blog post about the history of bohemian fashion is up at mylittlebohodream.com, go check it out it’s a good one! 🌞 @ Self Love
