It all began in Berkeley, California – where we spent a great deal of our youth. The community lent us its free-spirited attitude and opened our eyes to a world of free thought and a desire to stand out and be exceptional. Twenty years ago we moved to Asia, travelling around and exploring the different cultures each country had to bring. We visited China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Thaila
nd, Philippines and Indonesia. Throughout our adventure, we fell in love with the various fabrics the east had to offer, be it China’s fine silk embroidery or Japan’s stunning Kimonos – we were mesmerized! As do many backpacking youths, we eventually found ourselves working corporate jobs – for the best part of the last twenty years, in fact – but we never let go of our free spirit or the experiences we shared, which brings us today. We’re no fans of pointless labeling, but we make an exception for the term “Boho-chic” because it perfectly embodies our core values – to embrace both our spiritual and free-thinking ideals, while still being able to enjoy the finer things in life. But we desire uniqueness – items that mean something to the owner and have their own story to tell, which is far from a large corporate branded product. I’m not just any bag – and I’m not just any boho-chic bag either; I’m handmade, authentic and can offer you the hippie look you’ve been dying to achieve far better than any store bought bag ever could. We’re made by people of the Hill Tribe in Northern Thailand entirely by hand – this means each of us bags has a unique piece of history and a story behind it. This is where the style originates from and is not what you’ll find in regular stores.
