Iโve always been a maker.
๐ ๐ญ๐ช๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ด๐ข๐บ ๐โ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ ๐จ๐ช๐ณ๐ญ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ข ๐ฅ๐ช๐จ๐ช๐ต๐ข๐ญ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ญ๐ฅ.
I like to conceptualize something, figure out how itโs madeโ how itโs engineeredโ then make it with my hands. Whether itโs clothing or a painting or a pergola, itโs all the same concept just in different mediums.
My transition from clothing in the original inception of Holly Ren Designs to the current one of building, is just a transfer of mediumsโ I tried my best to do that with clothing, & now Iโm trying my best to do it with wood, paint & whatever else is at-hand.
Iโve been building all kinds of things since I was a kid. I was raised somewhat rural & there was always an old house to refurbish & some amount of land to explore & improve. Making something with whatever was at-hand was almost always the only option. So, I had to be inventive & understand how to put things together.
The final part (arguably, the most important to me) was that ๐๐ฉ ๐จ๐๐ค๐ช๐ก๐ ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ข ๐ค๐ ๐ข๐ฎ ๐ค๐ฌ๐ฃ ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ ๐๐ค๐ช๐ก๐ ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐๐.
โจ It should be ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฆ.
โ๏ธ It should be beautiful inasmuch as it combined the right aesthetics with its innate function.
