Did you ever want your own signature suit? Like this thing works for any occasion, and you'll feel like the coolest girl in the room (while you're secretly as comfortable as you would be wearing a sweatsuit). And the flexibility of the jacket or the pant separately are endless.

What makes it unique to you, is you get to customize the fabric. For this customized Soft Power Suit the client chose this soft denim ticking. She chose to add one of the available track stripes just for that extra something-something. I was a little skeptical of the stripe on stripe, but I kinda love it.

Next in the customization queue is a gingham suit. I love how each person's choice speaks to their own unique style.

Some lovely overdyed pieces still available in the shop. Vintage embroidered linen and cotton tablecloths reworked in to one-of-a-kind garments - tops and dresses and the last pair of overdyed vintage lace basketball style shorts. I also have one pair of blue overdyed vintage camo Soft Power Pants in size large (with blue, white, and gold stripes) - I don't have anymore of this vintage deadstock camo, so these are the last for now. There's a couple of non-dyed ones, too, so if you want the natural desert camo, send me a DM and I can get you details on sizing.

The rest are available at STUDIOSCS.shop 💕

Tie front, tie back, or leave it loose. In the spirit of not wasting any precious detail, the mod dress is designed to use the whole of a heritage textile. This dress refashions a vintage linen tablecloth featuring hand embroidery and inset crocheted lace medallions. There is a front kick pleat for ease of movement. The pulled lace embroidery and hand-finished edging is preserved on the hem and sleeve ends. Just one.

Beautiful, soft, drapey rustic vintage linen tablecloth with heavy hand embroidery and cut lace embroidery transformed into a contemporary shirt dress (with pockets!). This one has hand-crocheted lace edges, too, and I've finished the front and cuffs with an assortment of vintage buttons.

These vintage textiles were often a sewing kit - meaning the pattern for the needlework was printed on the textile. In this case, the craftsperson wasn't super exacting with her placement and in some areas the original, printed guidelines are still visible. It gives the embroidery a slightly bluish cast in some spots.

This is my favorite style to upcycle my most special fabrics because I can really highlight the details.

She is live! New [shirt] dress edit just dropped. This Yoked Shirt Dress is crafted from a reworked vintage linen tablecloth. It has white-one-white hand embroidery and embroidered cut lace. I've kept the natural scalloped edging throughout, including across the back yoke. Time is spent in careful consideration of where to place the pieces to best feature the heritage details.

Natalie is very petite, so we styled it here with a belt to show another option.

Finished with vintage clear buttons.

The Yoked Shirt Dress is a classic yoke and cuff tailored shirt with a tab collar and pockets.

The Zero Waste Mod Dress is designed to use every bit of a vintage textile. In this case, one dress is from a crisp, white vintage tablecloth with simple hand embroidery and pulled thread embroidery. The design allows for the use of the textile's original border details. The second is a more rustic cream colored vintage linen with taupe-colored hand embroidery and inset crocheted lace details.

Spaghetti ties on the side of the waist are used to create different looks by gathering volume at the front or back (or all the way around). Swipe to see the dress untied.

The [Shirt] Dress summer edit is almost here. Did you miss out on these from last summer? Well, don't despair. I've transformed four gorgeous vintage linen tablecloths into the timeless shirt dress - three even have pockets 😉

Plus, there will be a Foundation Dress almost identical to the one shown here (swipe), and two Modular Dresses.

Vintage white linens with hand embroidery and needle lace.
