What does “small batch” really mean?
For me, it means I’m not making hundreds of the same thing at once. I’m making pieces one at a time, either in small ready-to-ship batches or made to order, with intention behind every step.
Each piece starts with carefully chosen fiber. I’m picky about how it feels, how it wears, and how it holds up over time. If the texture isn’t right or it doesn’t feel good in your hands, it doesn’t make it into the shop.
From there, every stitch is worked thoughtfully. If something doesn’t look or feel right, I redo it. When a piece is finished, it’s cleaned up, checked over, and finished properly before it ever leaves my hands.
Small batch means your piece wasn’t rushed, outsourced, or made on a machine. It was made by a real person, with care for both the craft and the person who will wear or use it. It was made by me, with you in mind.
That’s what small batch looks like at Fir Tree Fibers. Made with care every step of the way.
