I wanted to share a little bit about my last piece. I decided to make something new for Hushtola. I had so much fun with this one, but I was rushing to complete it! I'm so glad I did, because she placed 3rd, and the very first person to try it on walked away with it. Honestly, it looked amazing on her, and it's so fun to see the art I create come to life when it's worn. ❀ I used a wood burning tool to 'carve' the fabric gorget. That part was scary, but it worked. The copper faux leather was also tricky, and I hand-sewed sequins for the first time!

I'm still reeling from the SEASAM Artist reception, what a blast! I was thrilled to receive a 3rd place ribbon for my newest creation ES-PO-KE-TIS! Now its time to get this market started! We'll be at booth #2 on Friday and Saturday!

I’m honored to share my newest piece, a cloak I created. Inspired by my recent visit to Macon, our Muscogee homelands, this work carries the memory of our people during removal — walking into the unknown, not sure what awaited at the end of the Trail.

The cloak is styled with echoes of a soldier’s coat, painted imagery stitched to wool stroudcloth, and a cold leather collar and buckle that symbolize the military presence. Along the hemline, you’ll see handwritten Muscogee lyrics from the traditional song “This May Be the Last Time,” written by fluent speaker Mona “Ko Ko” Lowe. She also recorded the song, which I embedded as a QR code inside the lining — so when worn, the cloak can literally sing.

This piece is about land, language, and song — carrying forward resilience through uncertainty

BIG NEWS!
I've been invited to show my work at the very first ever MACON FASHION WEEK in Macon, Georgia our homeland! This is especially meaningful to me because it will be my very first non-Indigenous runway show, and such a powerful opportunity to share my art where our roots run deep.

The photos here are from the Macon fashion week premiere where I was surrounded by support of my tribe and friends that night and a glimpse of what is what to come!

Big MVTO to Tracy Revis for opening this door and to Susanna Maddox and Macon Magazine for making me feel so welcomed. I can't wait to walk this journey and share Mvskoke Threads with a whole new audience.

The show will take place in Macon, November 2-8
