She may get me for posting this!

But one night, a few years ago my daughter was feeling bad, we were laying on the couch talking and she fell asleep. For just a few minutes I was able to reminise of the times when she was little, and always needed her mama. ❤️ I don't think they realize I needed them so much more than they needed me.
I'm blessed with the best kids and husband! I couldn't have picked a better dad for my kids!

My favorite part of fall is all the new soups and stews we try! Last year we experimented with rutabaga and squash soup....

Last year we experimented with rutabaga and squash soup. Ohhh and Barley in any soup not only taste amazing, but it is a great filler!

When my bonus daughter told me about the egg recalls, I was thankful for the our chickens!
We only have 7, but they provide plenty eggs for us, and for us to share with the grandbaby!

Have you ever wished you could ask your grandparents how to do something?

My granny taught me to put on makeup, make dumplings and many other things!

But now Im thinking, is there other things I should ask her to teach me from when she was younger?

I know convenience is important for alot of people, and I completely understand.
But for the love of saving money.. I was glad my husband and son didn't mind grinding meat for me!

This pork tenderloin was $1.60 a pound. But ground pork was 3.78 a pound! The way I see it, we got over 2x the amount of meat for doing it ourself!

Who else buys in bulk to save money? Plus, no filler!

Last trip through Tennessee, this guy was right outside my window! Seriously not what I was expecting! When we arrived at the rest area everyone was talking about him! I was the only one that got his picture, so thats how a bunch of strangers got my phone number! 😆

Chicken and dumplins, that is!

I feel like we’re slowly losing some of the knowledge our grandparents and great-grandparents had in the kitchen. So many of them didn't measure everything or follow a written recipe—they just knew how to make it.

And those are the recipes worth hanging on to. ❤️

So I’m thinking… should I get Granny in the kitchen with me and make a video showing exactly how she makes her chicken and dumplins?

Because one day, having that video might mean a whole lot more than just having the recipe. 🥹❤️

A girl can NEVER have too many cups, so obviously I have to start my grandbaby off young! 😂

I absolutely LOVE buying cute little things for my grandbabies, and this tiny cup was just too stinkin’ cute to pass up!

But now there’s a problem… I need a matching one for Grammy AND her Mama! 🎀💕 Because three generations with matching cups?! YES PLEASE!

Tell me I’m not the only one who can’t resist buying cute stuff for the grandbabies! 😂

And be honest…how many cups is too many cups? 👀😂
