Wow…. What a weekend! Thank you all for shopping and stopping by this weekend @ the 74th Chickahominy Powwow. It was a beautiful weekend, there was some wind but it was absolutely a gorgeous weekend. This has been a powwow stop for me for over a decade and one of my favorites! You all are the best! Your continued support makes it all possible! I am forever grateful and so thankful for each and every one of you!

Our next powwow stop of the year…. See you all next weekend! This has always been a favorite of mine, one of the few VA stops of the year.

Well… I can finally share her! She is something I have named “The Berry Picker”
This was a fun one to create and put together. We had some trials and set backs but she is complete. The leather was stained with coffee, wampum tube beads stitched one by one. The strap is equally unique and handmade with my bear paw design and my strawberry design. I will say that suede leather is my least favorite to stitch. The strawberry front is a pocket which it also lined suede. The inside of the bag also has the ALCouture logo and my bear paw design. She is up for grabs, I have to decide on a price. I will be taking her later this month to my next powwow stop. I have one more strawberry bag to do, it will be red. Then I’m moving on to another design and maybe a new bag style all together.

Still making progress on this little strawberry! I added some wampum! Each bead was stitched one by one! I think I am ready to assemble! It almost time for her big reveal!

Well I’m making progress on this gorgeous bag! I had originally intended to keep it simple but…. You all know me, I can’t quite stop myself! She will have quite a few “extras” including a custom handmade strap.

Back to work! I went on a 2 and half month book adventure and it’s time to get back to work! I have had this strawberry bag waiting for far too long! I spent the better part of yesterday cutting and planning… now the fun part where my hands suffer. Putting it together!

Wow!!! What a day yesterday was!!! Thank you to all those how stopped and supported my artwork! Dix park Powwow is just awesomely amazing! This my my third year and this one is becoming a favorite!
