I’ve received quite a few requests in the last week from couples whose fall weddings in the mountains have had to be postponed. I just wanted to say that:
A) I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this. No, you haven’t lost your home or your life and we’re so grateful for that, but this is hard, too, and it’s okay to mourn that.
B) If I can fit you into my schedule anywhere for our Sweet & Legal ceremony, I’ll make it happen. I know it’s not what you planned, but we can make it legal, and these are actually really beautiful, sweet ceremonies despite the brevity and lack of pomp— there’s just something special about the intimacy and intentionality of it.
C) The first picture is what the woods that are my favorite spot for our Sweet & Legal looked like mid-November last year, and the second is what they looked like this Tuesday. It’s my happy place, and I love sharing it with y’all.
