With the mission to rekindle American craftsmanship, Victor and Sarah Lytvinenko founded Raleigh Denim + Workshop in order to make the perfect pair of jeans. Raleigh Denim + Workshop aims to revive the rich textile industry that once called North Carolina home. Working closely with Cone Mills in Greensboro, NC - Raleigh Denim strives to source it’s materials locally. Every season Raleigh’s “non-au

tomated jeansmiths” handcraft limited runs on vintage sewing machines in their downtown workshop. Each pair goes through a thorough inspection before being hand signed by the maker. Leather patches adorn each pair with individually hand-stamped edition numbers.

This denim is a rare piece of American manufacturing history.

Produced at the legendary Cone Mills White Oak plant in Greensboro, North Carolina, this deadstock selvage denim was preserved in its original factory wrapping for decades. Before White Oak closed in 2017, it was the last major producer of selvage denim in the United States and a cornerstone of American jean-making.

What makes this fabric especially unique is that it's a reproduction of the denim Cone Mills was weaving in 1968. The result is a rigid, character-rich fabric that reflects the look, feel, and durability of a golden era of American denim.

Built to break in slowly and age beautifully, these jeans will develop a fade pattern entirely their own over years of wear.

We have just enough fabric left to make 25 pairs so we’re opening up preorders now for Alexander, Jones & Graham.

The mill on the Haw River tucked away in Saxapahaw, NC, was started in 1844 a place where the rivers current was used to power cotton spinning. The mill closed but a community was born. Today there are still pieces of that story: the museum in the old school house and the company houses still standing (shown in slide 8).

This river. This cotton. This same regional supply chain. The same textile economy that turned NC into the fabric of American workwear ran through mills exactly like this one.
