The song is now in illustrated book format as "Meet Cookie (the dog)". Cookie (the Dog) was a real dog adopted from a shelter in Ohio. She lived with a great family who loved and cared for her. As Paula (related to her family) got to know her, she wrote a poem with her niece about Cookie. When Paula added music to the poem, "Cookie (the Dog)" was enjoyed by the young (and the young at heart). Thro
ugh the years, Paula sought an illustrator to find a face for the character in the poem. Though Cookie (the real dog) is no longer with us, the illustrations created by Mac McCord in "Meet Cookie (the dog)", bring this charming dog and her antics to life! Mac created a Cookie (the dog) puppet to act out our picture book story along with Paula's music for our book launch.
