Vacations are fun, but being able to see a special display of miniatures makes it even better! This is a special event titled “12:1 Galleries: A Show of Miniature Art” and is being held at Truckee Meadows Community College so check it out If you happen to be in the area. I tried to get a good sampling of pics but some did not come out well. Look at how detailed tiny paintings are. Incredible! Thanks to whomever contributed to this and organized it to make it possible.

Hope everyone has been having a fun, relaxing, exciting, insert-positive-adjective-here summer. Imagine spending a few months designing and tweaking cut files, firing up your machine(s) to cut things, sorting the tiniest bits and pieces into comparatively tiny baggies, and then, for whatever reason, just not quite finishing the final steps to get these items listed so they can be shared and enjoyed by others. Who would do such a thing? Haha. At any rate I hope you enjoy the pictures of these little goodies (they are kits that can be assembled and decorated with the included supplies, PLUS any other thing you may want to embellish them with). Just imagine what fun ideas I will come up with for Autumn and Winter. I want to jinx myself and say that I will forget to list those things too, but let’s try to be positive here. Maybe I will perform better if I improve my self talk. Agree?

I had so much fun with this Lemonade Stand from designing the laser cut parts, to selecting random bits from my upcycle bins, and putting everything together to create the finished stand! The design and graphics are all designed and created by me. ”Pucker’s Lemonade“ is a fictitious brand that I developed for the purpose of this scene.

Merry Christmas everyone! Just finished “Kringle’s Cocoa Hut.” It is a scratch build made almost entirely out of paper products with the walls being layered food boxes. This was a great way to put my Cricut to good use to upcycle some material. Perhaps next year I can maybe add things to the inside. I have way too much fun coming up with these ideas, creating the designs, and then bringing them to life.

This is a perfect example of how Sam’s Closet can be modified and custom made to fit the vision of your scene. The dirt floor gives it a lot of rustic mystique and I literally had a good chuckle at the bucket with cigarette butts and the “No Smoking” sign on the front of it!
