SALE: Remember the stinky yarn? Well, it’s not stinky anymore and as turns out, I won’t be needing 37 skeins of it to finish the second cardigan I’m knitting. It’s Merino Comeback [(merino x color) x merino] in a natural coffee brown, 3-ply worsted weight (4 spi on a US8-9) yarn put up in 4-ounce skeins of approximately 200 yards. The color is difficult to accurately capture, but the middle photo is the closest. Here’s the deal: 6 skein minimum. $15/skein. Free shipping. Message me if interested!it

Manny gets a new scarf!! Here’s the story: I purchased the warp yarn from my friend Ann who hand spun it from a hand-dyed braid she purchased from our mutual friend, . She plied it with some creamy alpaca yarn she spun from fiber I gifted to her a while back. I wove the scarf using a 3-ply, sport-weight alpaca/wool weft yarn I made in my former mill. I love this happenstance collaboration with two of my favorite pals from the yarn community and I will cherish this scarf and all it represents for years to come!

Peated Whisky 4.0 is ready for buttons and a light steaming to set the button bands and collar. I LOVED knitting this classic cardigan out of dark brown Merino Comeback yarn that no longer smells like Merino Asscrack. I’ve enjoyed every stitch of it, and hate to see it end!

It’s been a few years since we’ve decorated for Christmas and I’ve missed the annual trip down memory lane inspired by our hodgepodge of ornaments and decor. It’s great fun to see these old friends again!

LOOK! It’s an Advent Calendar of MINI SAUSAGES!! To answer your question, yes, of course I bought it because nothing welcomes the baby Jesus like mini sausages. NOTHING!

The back of my Peated Whisky cardigan is complete and blocked. I am pleased to report the wet wool did NOT smell like a feedlot sh***er so the previous de-stankification was a success! You will note that I am deviating from the pattern and working the back and front panels separately because I didn’t have a long enough needle to accommodate the unibody construction and the yarn store was closed (so rude 🙄) at the exact moment I wanted to cast on.

As a former mill owner and yarn maker, I find myself wondering when I had time to own a mill and make yarn. This is Peated Whisky (my fourth iteration of this exquisite pattern) by that I started on Saturday in my own Merino Comeback that customers refused to buy because it smells like a barnyard diaper until you wash it in scorching hot detergent and vinegar and hose if off with Febreze.

UPDATE: All skeins have been sold! Thank you, everyone, for making this last yarn sale so easy.

THIS IS IT! Your last chance to score some of this fine yarn FOREVER!! In addition to a few skeins of Celery, I have small quantities of yarn still available in these lovely colors: Top row from the left - Decaf, Olive, Velveeta, Cantaloupe. Bottom row from the left - Jet Black, Putty, Overcast, and Sky. Mix and match! Email or message me to get you some. $15/skein. Buy four or more skeins and I will begrudgingly pay for shipping! Operators (me) are standing by (reclining on the sofa.)
