Hey Actioneers! Here's the current post SDCC update which LBO Collective has asked us to share with all of you! This has also been sent via email to those who pre-ordered.
Captain Action Had All the Action at SDCC!
"Despite the dastardly delays caused by the dangerous Dr. Evil, Captain Action is more determined than ever!
Captain Action made a strong showing at San Diego Comic-Con with the debut of an incredible new poster by Craig Hedges. Limited-edition copies were sold at the show and proved to be a real hit with fans. A limited number are now available online for those who were unable to purchase one at SDCC.
The poster also became a valuable tool during secret, face-to-face meetings with our manufacturing and licensing partners, helping us demonstrate Captain Action history, legacy, and future. We cannot wait to share all the good news ahead, but some announcements will have to wait until our next adventure - details below.
Our SDCC panel featured Steve Forde of LBO, GoHero, and POP alongside Mike Polis of Captain Action Enterprises, LBO, and Atomic Toybox Entertainment, with Ed Catto of Captain Action Enterprises serving as moderator. The panel addressed the challenges that LBO faced and how what it took to navigate tariffs, retailer and factory closures, disruptions to the production pipeline, and the demise of Diamond Comics.
LBO also announced revised Q1 2027 shipping dates, hinted at licenses currently in development, and revealed a new strategy created for customizers and collectors alike to be shared in an upcoming email.
We had a great time with fans chatting about dream licenses - one of which was guessed correctly!
The next step mission on the roadmap is Joelanta, where we will celebrate Captain Action's 60th anniversary with a retrospective, panel, giveaways, exclusive products, and more. Everyone who preordered will receive a complimentary show pass and a special preorder upgrade as a thank-you for their patience and trust.
Join us September 25–27, 2026, at the Gas South Convention Center in Duluth, Georgia, as we celebrate 60 years of Captain Action and help build a premier event for the 1/6-scale collecting community!
Fans who did not preorder can still join the celebration; we have reserved a limited number of additional passes, and will have details on how to claim them coming soon.

Lastly – as we write this letter, the Ben Cooper Kids figures from Neca are hitting the stores. They feature Captain Action and Dr. Evil! We think they came out retrotastic and are another great another example of all the ACTION coming your way!"
