Today marks the beginning of Black History Month. At Entrusted Auctions, we spend our days uncovering the stories behind objects—and this month, we’re turning our focus toward the incredible contributions of Black artisans, makers, and collectors.

From the revolutionary pottery of David Drake (Dave the Potter) to the intricate furniture of Thomas Day, Black craftsmanship is woven into the very fabric of American material culture.

Join us this month as we celebrate the creators who shaped our history and the collectors who preserve it.
